    I just downloaded/started E@H and it seems to be running fine, however.... my CPU usage is pegged at 100%. Is this normal?

      Yes, quite normal. The software is designed to utilize all of your idle CPU bandwidth. It is also very good at relinquishing those CPU cycles to any program that asks for it, so you should not notice any drop in performance on your machine. Your CPU usage will be at 100% whenever BOINC is running.
