Sigh of relief. Annie is back & in her usual mental state to boot. Woo ... woo ... whoopity golf clap .... :-) :-)

[ I was going to say she currently may be affected by the pain killing medication. But then we knew her before she got on those ... so much for that theory! ]

If you mean she is as daft as a brush as she was before, then say so man :-)))

Good to see her back though!

Waiting for Godot & salvation :-)

Why do doctors have to practice?

She really is an alien plant you know. :-)

Yup.

@David : It's called a fax/photocopier. They did that a while ago. The real question is .... do you delete the original ? :-) :-)

I suppose that's a good way of looking at it, except that it's a 3D fax and it absolutely deletes the original as it goes.

Reading an Annie post is like

Reading an Annie post is like being wrapped up in a nice warm blanket of chaos theory on a cold winter night.

'Bout time you got back to posting. I was on the verge of going sane. I mean...uh...never mind. Dangit.

OK : she is as daft as a brush as she was before ... :-)

But more charitably : the Inner Heisenberg Theme Park is open again after renovations. :-)

Cheers, Mike.

( edit ) Apropos of dunno & whatever : I've just read an American Scientist article by Jon Butterworth, a CERN particle physicist. He is discussing what is next up for the LHC. With the Higgs discovery some one has noticed a very interesting piece of numerology. If you take the fermions ( 'matter' particles like electrons and quarks etc ), square the rest mass of each and then add them all up you get close to a wee nadger's difference than the result if you did the same thing for the bosons ( 'force' particles like photons and weak force mediators ). This does not derive from any currently known principle but on the face of it appears to be a sort of a symmetry. Other general considerations suggest that if that is true there ought be some ( here-to-fore unknown ) physical quantity that is conserved. This could all be just a co-incidence though.

I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

Oh Lord back to the zero mass god particle again.
