Correct me if I'm wrong. But as far as I know Einstein will implement a new credit system with S5 which isn't based on the time * benchmark system anymore. So, the question "Do I have to turn off calibration?" will also apply to Einstein shortly ...

There are two sets of files to make BoincStudio work. One is the BoincStudio program itself, the other is the client files for Boinc - Boinc.exe BoincMgr.exe and Boinc.dll - make sure you get both.

What's the problem? I use Crunch3R's 5.5.0 on one of my machines and it calibrates just fine.
Since my machines are somewhat slow, I don't have the curse of 32, and do not see any need for using Studio.

What's the problem? I use Crunch3R's 5.5.0 on one of my machines and it calibrates just fine.
Since my machines are somewhat slow, I don't have the curse of 32, and do not see any need for using Studio.
The problem is that using crunch3r 5.5.0 I am claiming about half
of what others are claiming for the same WU , and by luck this
sometimes cheat others, when I get granted what I claimed.
Otherwise it is fine ... I get granted about double what I claimed -:)
ps: I am still stuck on how to use BoincStudio -:(
I sucessfully connected one existing client , but "no credits correction"
was made at all
When I try starting a new client, there is a message "boinc already running"
How to start 2nd copy of boinc without this message ?
How do I limit to download only 1 file at a time ? 28800 bps link !
How do I use "credits correction" on einstein only ? (if this worked)
How to make credits correction work for remote pcs ? (tcp/ip only, via Internet)
Finally I figured out how to run two instances of boinc on same 1 cpu pc -:)
use: http://www.vmware.com and creates a virtual pc!
I am now able to crunch HashClash with boinc 5.5.0 and einstein
with boincstudio -> Work nicely.
the feature of boinctsudio to limit cpu usage,
allows me to the "share" the usage of my cpu power among the two boinc(s) apps
I like of the boincstudio "backup project" too -:)
However seems that BoincStudio is unable to use a Socks 5 proxy -:(
And the "copy" and "update" features of BoincStudio, wipes out the
"debugging capabilities of boinc 5.4.9" -> need by ralph@home crunchers
cause it renames *all* dll(s) and exe(s) existing on the boinc installation
folder, when these funcions are used -:(
Couldt'n it rename only boinc.exe and boinc.dll ???
Nice program -:! (only I need to "update" manually) -> I crunch ralph too!
ps: not figured out how to limit to download/upload only 1 file at a time
perhaps a "new feature" to next boincstudio version ?
Wasn't part of my training 36 years ago. Did they even run on IBM 360/20? lol
Sorry, folks, but I let it all drop, and at the wrong time. What a waste!
I don't remember BASIC used in the old IBM 360 days at all, mostely COBAL and Asemblyer languages. Fortran was also used for Scientific things. Oh how I hated all those punch cards that you needed for a program. The JCL was always fun also.
When I retired there were still a lot of mainframe people there who were having a hard time changeing over to the PC's.
