But, this is the Einstein project Cafe. We shouldn't use this as a backup when seti is off air. Not fair to Einstein.

A reasonable point. I was looking at it more along the lines of, we're crunching for both projects and, in the general threads, discuss whatever. On the other hand, I've been thinking of trying to tackle that problem in the "Einstein's Riddle" thread. So, in that one, I would not talk about SETI. :)
Plus, I haven't been attached to other projects until fairly recently and I can see how certain discussions could carry over from one forum to that of another project when you "see" familiar "faces."

I used to be able to have 2 einstein@home tasks running simultaneously in boinc
but now I only have 1. Did I change something? If so what?, and how can I put it back to two at a time?

I am not sure why you only have one now, but if I remember correctly, the fact that it could work on two at a time means your CPU has "hyperthreading" ... ? Can someone else confirm this?

Nope..a mere 60 miles away.

As an omen to the impending doom, we've just had one helluva thunderstorm for the last hour...

Oh! Yeah!

I am winning by not being close to Manchester and so avoiding thunderstorms and being washed away.

Doggie should be close to landing now?
