Today didn't start off very well. I had an appointment with the dietician and the nurse practitioner. Car no worky. Dead battery.
Sorry to hear about the car, Kathryn. I hope you got it taken car of quickly. I used to have an 89 Mustang LX 2.3 L, and it went through a battery and an alternator a year UNTIL I had an aftermarket electrical mechanic over-build the alternator to 120 Amps to correct Ford's under-designed electrical system. Also, had to upgrade the cabling to the battery to 4 Gauge cables with gold plated connectors. NEVER had a problem after that! (...AND, NO, I did NOT have any amplifiers in the car; NOR anything else that would have put a strain on the system... Just a POOR design by Ford!)
I'm a Honda man, now... Honda's DON'T have these issues.
