My RAC varies widely too. The ragged graph of the past 30 days shows a low point of 392 and a high of 489. From past observations this appears to be a normal variance that is mostly affected by the pending credit numbers. If your RAC is markedly lower than normal, try checking Window's Task Manager (Processes) to see if any other of your computer background programs are taking more resources than normal. E@H, on my computers, shows a CPU usage of 98%, which seems to confirm that a changing RAC is not the result of something I'm doing wrong.
