Compute Error Exit Status 1008

I got a burst of these errors on this host earlier today. Following are typical messages included in the stderr output:

[01:01:19][8872][ERROR] Error during CUDA device->host time series length transfer (error: 999)
[01:01:19][8872][ERROR] Demodulation failed (error: 1008)!

Coincident with the time these WU's were returned, are "output file absent" messages in the BOINC manager. The fact that they all seem to have crashed at about the same time makes me wonder if something else was running on the PC that caused this. However, this host is pretty much a 24/7 cruncher, typically rock solid, and has been running these Einstein WU's for a long time. I don't think I've ever seen this error before.
